East Lake Lily
Our homeowners knew they’d eventually remodel their historic South Minneapolis home, they also knew they’d retain and fully restore its beautiful warm-hued, hand-crafted woodwork. Some of the first major tasks completed were: patching damaged or deteriorating areas of the trim and flooring, replicating then replacing some finials, and sanding and refinishing the existing birch floors and beautiful oak stairs of the main staircase.
In concert with the homeowners, Vujovich also expanded and completely remodeled the kitchen and back entry. The Eastlake Lily floral motif, which is first visible to guests at the newel post of the main staircase, was incorporated into the wood details and hardware throughout the newly constructed and fully refurbished areas of the home.
This home was open to the public during the 2009 Parade of Homes Remodelers Showcase.
